Reflexion Pressure Relief Seating System

Reflexion is the ideal solution for use in seats, backs and headrests in occupational and healthcare seating. Its lower Reflex layer ensures comfort, stability and durability, whilst its unique upper layer of Vasco relieves pressure, shaping itself around the user to provide total support.
When exposed to body heat, Reflexion uniquely moulds itself around the contour of the seat user. This helps to avoid interface pressure on the critical parts of the body subjected to compression.
The body weight is then spread more evenly across the whole surface area of Reflexion in contact with the user. This has been proven to significantly reduce the occurrence of circulatory problems that can lead to the development of pressure sores.
The two pressure maps illustrate the amount of pressure being exerted by the human body sitting on a conventional healthcare seat cushion (map 1), compared with a Reflexion seat cushion (map 2).
Both tests were conducted using a healthcare chair, and an identical protocol was applied to each.
The lightest areas of contact pressure are shown in blue, whilst the heaviest are shown in orange.
The two tests clearly illustrate that the conventional seat cushion allows the user to sit through the cushion because it does not have the function to adequately support, or disperse, weight effectively.
